Mackenzie Legacy Makes Team Canada!
Resident Metroballer Mackenzie Legacy has just been announced as a member of The Canadian Dodgeball Association's (http://www.canadiandodgeball.ca) Team Canada! Mackenzie will be travelling to Las Vegas, August 15th and 16th to compete in the World Dodgeball Federation's Championships. Approximatly 60 others tried out for the team, and Mackenzie is the sole representitive from all of Western Canada. Mackenzie is a regualr at Metroball on Wednesday nights. Come on down for drop in from 7pm-9pm and play against your national representitive!
Ian Assang Named Regional Representitive for B.C. and Quebec on the Board of the Canadian Dodgeball Association
Ian is a 33-year old Ottawa, Ontario native currently living in Victoria, British Columbia. Ian is currently completing his Degree in Sport Management at Camosun College.
Ian’s dodgeball career has spanned over a decade where he began playing with the Ottawa Sport and Social Club on various teams. He reports seeing success with a team called the “Ball Bustas” where he travelled to various tournaments around the province. His team went onto winning multiple events in Ottawa and Toronto, Ontario. Before leaving Ottawa, Ian helped jumpstart Dodgeball Ottawa with 2014 WDBF Men’s Team Canada Gold Medalist, Spencer Sarault.
Since moving to Victoria, BC, Ian has had the opportunity to play with the Vancouver Dodgeball League, Victoria Sport and Social Club in addition to the Metroball Dodgeball Society. He is proud to have also had an incredible opportunity to work as an intern for the Victoria Dodgeball Championships. Ian has taken his love for dodgeball further and sits on the executive board for the Metroball Dodgeball Society.
